How to join a meal train on iLunch

How do I find a meal train on iLunch?

You can't search for one. Every iLunch meal train is private, and the only way in is the link the organizer shares. Trains aren't listed in a directory or meant to be searchable.

I lost the link. How do I get back to the train?

Look in your texts, email, or the group chat or Facebook post where the organizer shared it. Links look like ilunch.com/t/ followed by a short name for meals, or ilunch.com/r/ for rides. If you still can't find it, ask the organizer or the family to send it again.

Do I need an account to help?

No. There's no account, password, or app. You open the link, claim a day, and type your name and a phone number or email so the family knows who's coming.

How do I claim a day?

Open the train link, choose an open day on the calendar, and tap to sign up. Add your name, a phone number or email, and what you plan to bring. The day then shows as taken so nobody doubles up. Helpers who leave an email get a reminder before their day.

Can I sign up to drive instead of cook?

Yes, if the family has a ride train. Rides are organized separately on iLunch: the organizer lists each trip and shares a ride train link, and drivers claim the trips that fit their week.

I can't cook. Can I still help?

Yes. Open the day you want to cover and choose "Send a gift card instead". You buy a food delivery gift card yourself, send it to the family, and iLunch marks that day as covered. Use a service that works where the family lives: in the US, Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub; in Australia, Uber Eats or Menulog; in Canada, Uber Eats; in the UK, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, or Just Eat.

I'm the organizer and I lost my admin link. What do I do?

Go to ilunch.com/recover and enter the email you used when you started the train. If that email has any trains, iLunch emails the private admin links to that address.
